La Gran Sabana

The Guiana Shield, formed some 600 million years ago, exhibits an extraordinary geomorphology produced by weathering processes. The Gran Sabana is an undulating plateau between 800 m and 1500 m, from which rise the Tepuis up to 2000 m above the plateau.
