Bagheera Tours was not created behind a desk.
It grew from decades of exploring Venezuela — travelling across the vast Gran Sabana, climbing its legendary tepuis, navigating rivers and jungle, and reaching places that remain among the most remote and extraordinary landscapes on Earth.
For more than three decades, Venezuela has been our home, our passion and our field of exploration.
Today, we use that experience to take travellers beyond the ordinary and into the Lost World of Venezuela.
Our Story
In 1989, Uwe Neumann arrived in Venezuela.
What began as a journey became a life.
Over the following years, he travelled extensively through the country and developed a particular connection with the wild landscapes of southern Venezuela — the Gran Sabana, Canaima National Park and the great table mountains rising above them.

In the Amazon aerea he explored.

These were not simply destinations on a map. They became places explored repeatedly over many years.
From this experience, Bagheera Tours was born.
The idea was simple: allow other travellers to experience this extraordinary part of the world through journeys based on genuine knowledge, exploration and personal experience.
More than a Tour
We don’t believe the Lost World should be experienced from the window of a tour bus.
Our journeys are designed for people who want to experience Venezuela, not simply visit it.
That may mean trekking for days toward the summit of Roraima, travelling by river through Canaima, standing beneath Angel Falls, crossing the endless landscapes of the Gran Sabana or joining an expedition into places few travellers ever reach.
Some journeys are comfortable.
Others require patience, flexibility and a real sense of adventure.
That is part of what makes them unforgettable.

Small Groups - Real Experiences
We prefer to keep things personal.
Rather than mass tourism, Bagheera focuses on small groups, private journeys and carefully planned tours or expeditions.
This allows us to adapt journeys to the people travelling with us and to preserve the feeling of exploration that brought us to these places in the first place.
